Our stay at La Calade was wonderful. It was our favorite experience so far in our European travels. The building and decor are exquisite, it feels like stepping back in time, but with all the modern conveniences. Best nights sleep, qiuet and comfortable beds. A few steps from the village center, very beautiful . Host Jean Pierre is very accommodating and makes excellent suggestions for things to do and restaurants. We would be delighted to stay here again

We loved everything about our stay! The location is perfect...it's quiet and a short walk from the center of Gordes. There is plenty of parking and the house is easy to get to. The kitchen and bedrooms are very well equipped and we had everything we needed. The house is beautifully decorated and we particularly loved the terraces. I highly recommend staying here...one of the best AirBnB experiences I've had!

We've stayed in some beautiful places over the years, but this house is something special. The building dates back to the 16th century. It has been furnished to a very high standard. There are artistic touches everywhere and it's been designed very intelligently. The building twists and turns in unexpected ways, from the first floor to the bedrooms, revealing new features and points of interest at every step. Incredible - well done Jean-Pierre!
The house is well placed for Gordes, which is quite a beautiful place. If you take your time, the uphill walk to the village center takes about 10 minutes. The restaurants are very busy, especially at weekends, and even at the end of August, you'll need to make reservations. There's plenty to explore within a short distance of Gordes. Finding the SCAD at Lacoste was fun, and we enjoyed canoeing at Fontaine-de-Vaucluse. The Sentier des Ocres de Roussillon and Roussillon itself were excellent, as was Bonnieux. We spent a pleasant day in Avignon, about 40 minutes away by car. The Coustellet market (4 km away, Sunday shopping) and the Boulangerie Lyse patisserie (in Coustellet) are well worth a visit.

The perfect Airbnb for visiting Provence. My fiancé and I use Airbnb a lot and this was our favorite. The location is quiet and magical. It's also just a short walk from the beautiful town of Gordes. Jean-Pierre and his wife are the most welcoming hosts we've had. They leave you alone, but are there for any questions you may have. The house is carved out of the rocks and every piece of furniture and artwork is carefully thought out. I cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough! This is the place to stay if you want to visit the Luberon
